I know that this is a piece that many people wont understand or even question why I’m painting it. Ive been asked if Im angry or depressed. Honestly Im just reflecting. I’ve been spending lots of time reading about the situation in El Salvador and the history. A story that not many know or even care about. Why would they? The scary part is that this is still happening around the world. This abuse of power and need to dominate. Yes the situation is complex yet simple at the sametime if you look at what they are fighting for. Who is the dominator and who is the dominated and why. if you look into history I think you will find a very distenct pattern.

My totur is having me look at varoious artist and reflect on my compestitution and delivery. I will definetly do that but for now I will finsh this work. Oil Painting on canvas 8 feet x 6 feet. I definetly don’t normaly paint like this or feel the need to but Im sorting out various ideas and feelings. It does trouble me a bit how I can paint something like this yet still feel the need to.
